I'm not sure how things would work with a ferret. They are very smart and get out of their cages A LOT and then get into your food and tear things up (I mean everything). They are also very loud and very stinky. Their temperment is a wild card, some are sweet, but some are just plain mean. I can see them being very aggressive toward your babies.
