I know someone on another pet forum that was having this problem with her little dog. Her dog always pottied on the carpet. Your carpet probably smells like pee and poop now and she thinks that is the place to go. She's basically trained right now to go on the carpet. The person said they ripped out all the carpet in their house and put down wood floors (you could also do tile). The peeing in the house stopped immediately because the dog didn't want to go on the wood floors - it was trained to carpet in its mind. I've also heard that a lot of dogs think carpet feels like grass. I think as long as you have carpet in your house, your dog is going to go there because she thinks that is where she is supposed to go. I would get rid of the carpet and replace it with all wood, laminate or tile or some sort of hard surface.
