Susanah has suddenly become VERY clingy. She has to be TOUCHING me at all times. This has just started in the past few days.

Normally she is content to just be in the same room with me. She plays with her toys and occasionally glances over to make sure I'm still there and everything is cool.

Now she has to be in my lap, on my shoulder, laying on my foot, etc. She used to just play in the bathroom while I took a bath. Now she has to sit on my shoulder while I'm in there. If I'm in the kitchen cooking, instead of playing or waiting on me to give her a bite, she whines for me to pick her up. Instead of sleeping in between the pillows on the bed, she now sleeps on my chest with my hand on her.

All of this has started within a week. She doesn't seem sick, she doesn't seem to not feel good. She seems perfectly fine other than wanting to be held constantly. There have been no major changes that would/could upset her.

I just can't figure it out. Has anyone else's baby done this? Has it been just a phase? Do ya'll think she is going to be permanently attached to me for the rest of her life?
