Mine gets them once every other week to make sure there is no reaction. My vet doesn't require an appt for the shots alone - once she has been checked and given the first shot, I just take her in and the assistant gives her further shots, one week apart, to make sure there is no reaction and so that, if there is a reaction, we can pinpoint it. My vet does not recommend bordatella unless she is being kenneled or in a similar situation.
