I think it ought to be a law that until the item in shipped they can't take the money from your account. I hate it when I send a check, it clears my bank in like 2 days but it takes 8 weeks to get what I ordered. They're drawing interest on my money while they take their sweet time getting me my order. Then, you get the proverbial - it's on back order, another 4 to 6 weeks and if you cancel, it takes two more months to get the credit. I try to buy locally if I can at all.
