I don't know how to keep him from chewing the furniture. That bitter apple stuff doesn't work on Tinkie either. I have been using a small portable dog carrier to put her in time out instead of her big comfy crate and that does seem to help some. Although, when I let her out, she tries to get me to think she isn't afraid of going back in by walking in and out of it! I think these dogs are just too smart sometimes. Good luck with Gucci. And, if I learn anything that will help next month at training I will make sure to pass it along :-)
