I got Zada at 14 weeks of age and kept her in the expen (with wee-wee pads down) and frequent trips outside for a month, then blocked off the breakfast & kitchen area to let her have more free time inside, but only when I was right there to watch her. I kept this up for probably 3 months, but we always kept her on the sofa with us at night if we watched TV. She wasn't allowed down. We got Azrael when she was already 5 months, (and pad trained) 3 months after getting Zada, and kept the routine up with her as well. I don't have a clue when we completely trusted them though. They never had a chance to potty in the house, and when they were probably 18 months old or older we let them sleep with us and have more freedom in the rest of the house for short periods at a time with supervision. Now that they are 2 1/2 years old we let them have the house entirely. I've never found anything on the carpets or floor and we do put wee-wee pads down when we can't take them with us, and we take the pads with us on trips.
I guess to make a long story short and to answer the question..........I don't have a clue when they were "totally" house trained since they never did anything in the house anyway.
