I use the Buddy Belt and I really love it for Lucy. Regarding Velcro, I am not a fan to begin with but I bought some dresses from ChloeBella with the D ring and I have to say the grade/quality of the velcro is better than I've ever seen. I'm comfortable letting Lucy wear them and I'm a cautious mommy
