I get asked this quite often and when I tell them how much I usually get the "Oh wow" or the "Why didn't you just get a pet from the humane society?"
Now the whole "omg you paid so much" thing doesn't really bother me that much. The part I really hate is the whole humane society thing. Yes I know I could have gotten a dog there for under $200 but I didn't want a dog from there because most of them are special needs which I either cannot afford or do not have the time to look after, and I also wanted a nice little yorkie/mixed yorkie because I just happen to like the breed and am more confident getting the pup from a breeder I trust! What is so wrong with that?! Argh... the arguments I've had
