Great Advice! That the perfect way to go especially since you don't mind waiting awhile. Otherwise you're very likely to continue getting scammed or worse.
Just please don't look at breeders who advertise and strive for super tiny pups. I have a very very little one who is the result of these types of breeders. Lily is barely 5 inches tall at 8 months. Her small stature is due to a multitude of health problems caused by bad breeding.
