Our toads are not poisonous, but all toads have a substance that they secrete when threatened. In these little dogs, even the non-poisonous secretions can make them very sick and if dehydrated enough from vomiting and/or diarrhea they can die.
Do whatever you need to get rid of those poisonous toads in your area and always watch your dog carefully. What wouldn't be fatal for a big dog can quickly take the life of these little ones!!!
