My little Bailey goes through this once every 4 or 5 months. The first time it ever happened, I almost lost him . The vet sent him home with water under (or in) his skin. I stayed home with him the next day to be with him while he was going through this and just in case he needed to go back to the vet. Bailey has not been THAT bad again (knock on wood) but EVERY time he has the tinyest bit of a problem I freak out. Usually when he starts to have a problem, I give him a little less food and REALLY monitor his water intake. I also hold ice cubes in my hand for him to lick. I know what you are going through. My prayers are with you and your baby!
