When I got my first yorkie I had no clue about ears standing and was just in love with my new puppy to even think about it, so his ears do not stand erect. With my second, I knew better so when I thought that her ears might not stand on their own, I taped them up using masking tape. Shave the hair on the ears before applying the tape. Leave the tape on for at least a week, take it off and see if they remain standing. It may take a few trys but it works. Lexies ears are up and stay that way. I've read that if you haven't gotten them to stand by 6 months of age, it probably won't happen and that while they are teething they tend to flop a little. But taping does work...Lexie is proof of that! Good Luck |
