Emma, my 10 mo. old yorkie, has loose stool for the second time in two weeks. She has already been to the vet, where she was negative for parasites. We have had this problem off and on for quite a while. At first she was about 6 mo. old and was on Royal Canin puppy food, after a few bouts with the loose stool I slowly switched her to Blue Buffalo puppy food. She was great for a while, but in the last month or so has started the loose poo again. When I had her at the vet 2 weeks ago he gave her some gel (V??) that was supposed to firm her stool up, it didn't work and the loose stool lasted atleast 5 days. At times it was like water, other times looks normal but can't be picked up. She doesn't seem to feel bad, or be ill in any other way, just the poo. I have tried giving her pepto and feeding rice and chicken neither of which worked. Has anyone gone through this?? Any suggestions??
