I have used clicker training from the moment I got Paddington. It works wonderfully.

As a behavioral psychologist, I have trained rats to do many different things, pretty much using the same method as clicker training- including how to play team basketball! It really is amazing!

Paddington also uses target training, but I use a target stick and not my hand. It is the same principle, just with a long stick rather than someone's hand. It is interesting to use that technique to overcome fear of people! I've used the stick to teach Paddington to heal, walk properly on a leash, fetch, and go to bed. It's amazing to see it work!

Here is a wonderful link I found right before I got Paddington. I bookmarked it because it has some really great ideas and advice for training using both the clicker and targeting. http://www.clickandtreat.com/Clicker_Training/GG/gg.htm
