He LOVES fruits and vegetables. He goes crazy for strawberries and loves raspberries, tomatoes and carrots and pretty much everything that is good for you.
I looked online to get lists of foods toxic to dogs and I don't give him any of those, but I was just wondering if there's anything wrong with me giving him fruits and vegetables as treats instead of store bought treats since he seems to like the human food better anyway. I would love some feedback.
Fruits and vegetables are great treats for yorkies. I give mine peeled bites of fruit including bananas, apples, peaches, nectarines, and different berries. Veggies are great too-favorites around here are frozen peas, pieces of raw baby carrots, chunks of sweet potato, peeled cucumber, and pieces of lettuce leaves.

I don't think tomatoes are great for dogs-I can't remember why, but I wouldn't feed them tomatoes. Plus, they're really acidic on their sensitive tummies. Grapes, onions, garlic, and any seeds are also bad for them.

You might also try bits of whole wheat crackers, plain cheerios, and small chunks of cheese.
