Recently Sailor has gotten worse again - to the point of losing patches of hair at a time. Our vet has given her shots the last 2 months but will be trying to move her to some pills instead....and if she continues we will do the allergy testing. Sailor's problem does seem to be seasonal and not food related.....but this year between 2 straight months of ran and now extreme heat for several weeks she seems worse.
So be sure to check with your vet is you notice alot of scratching....so "hot spots" do not develop. (Last Friday Sailor had a place start on her side that could have devloped into one - luckly her shot helped her for now.) |
since i first posted earlier today I have noticed him itching more, i guess i will take him to the vet to be sure. what exactly are hot spots?
