I don't have any kids either but my cousin and her husband are still paying off the medical bills for the delivery of their little human girl, so tobey was cheaper than that. plus potty pads and food are much cheaper than diapers and formula so people should just shut up about their judgements. Also, I would never walk up to someone and say "how much did you pay for that purse?" if i noticed it was a designer bag or something, so why do people think it is okay to ask about our dogs?
