Thanks for the responses- I haven't changed anything except his food recently. I've been using the same shampoo since we got him at 8 weeks. I trimmed his fur around his head and back last week about a 1/2 inch with scissors, but i doubt that would have had any effect on him because I do that about once every 2 months. As far as mites go, would I see other signs of mites? might it be allergies to something in the Royal canin food that wasn't in the merrick's? He doesn't really seem any different, it's just something I have noticed. Anyway, any more opinions would be really appreciated since i can't contact the vet today. Thanks everyone, it is so nice to have a source for information and not just about dogs in general, but about our special babies!
