 coat breakage?
I posted this in general but then thought it should have been under grooming.
We took Zoey to the beach. She wore a harness vest while playing in the sand and a hoodie afterward. Now her fur looks very dry and has got small matts. The hair on her rear and head is fine. It is obviously from the vest and hoodie? What did we do wrong? Does this mean she has a cotton coat? I always thought she was silky? Any suggestions on what to do now? Do I need to trim off the "split end" looking fur? How do people dress their dogs all the time without ruining their coat?
