I didn't know they were "supposed" to turn silvery????

My cottony monster is still black and tan, but not a very dark black. Kaya is silky and her hair is confused. You can see her pics in the GE forum. It's black and tan and silvery/brownish....

She is 20 months old. All the show dogs are black and tan, aren't they?
