I'm so sorry your little pal is suffering so. And I feel badly for you too.

My toy poodle had horrible grass and corn allergies. He had the winter to recuperate and then start again. It took me a couple of years to figure it out, but meanwhile, I used oatmeal shampoo and a hot spot pray with tea tree oil and aloe in it to help him feel more comfortable. I had to stay right on top of it though or he'd chew his skin something awful. I did use a prednisone spray after we figured out what the allergies were from but I decided not to put him on oral prednisone. He did very well once I removed the corn from his diet and kept him off of the cut grass and tall grasses. Short lawns a couple of days old were best for him. You should have seen my back yard - there always had to be one place that wasn't freshly mowed so he could potty.
