I think that is a great idea. That way, you will encounter a lot fewer problems. Also, unfortunately having a great pedigree doesn't necessarily mean the dog will produce excellent, quality puppies. A lot of people advertise their puppies claiming to have great pedigrees and lots of champions but that doesn't mean they have been bred correctly.
