 Does anyone know anything about toad poisoning.?
Does anyone know anything about toad poisoning? My neighbors tiny chihuahua died last night and we think that it may have been from that.We live in miami Florida and it is very common here to have those large toads.My neighbors told me that last night she found her laying on the grass foaming at the mouth.She rushed her to the vet, and the vet said it was most likely poisoned by a toad (They secrete the poison from their skin).He also said
95 % of dogs survive.He told my neighbor she could come back for her the next day and before my neighbor walked out she was told the dog had bloody diarrhea and a few seconds later she went into cardiac arrest and she died. Im very concerned because I dont want this happening to my puppy if i take her out.Does anyone know anything about this issue.Thanx. |
