I don't think that there is much research about hard food cleaning a dog's teeth. I guess it could help, but then, who really knows? Brushing your dog's teeth or using Petzlife is a much better option. Ellie has periodontal disease and she gets soft food only (with some hard treats). Her teeth are brushed daily and we use something called OraVet on them. She got to skip her six month dental because of how good her teeth look.
