We evacuated two years ago, when Rita was blowing in. It took us 13 hours to go 200 miles (into LA). That was with 1 grown daughter, 2 granddaughters, my hubby, his parents (F-N-L with active cancer), and 7 doggies, in 3 vehicles. We have 23 people at my sisters. Then, the storm turned and came to where we were there.
We've decided to stay home this time and it looks like we'll have the full house this time.
At least my company is evacuating our offshore workers! |
