Just for the record, don't let all the horror stories of men passing them scare you...personally I think they are just wimps, but the Dr did tell me that the pain is different between a female and a male with kidney stones. For a female majority of the pain is going from the kidney to the bladder. For a male I guess it is the actual passing of the stone....again I just think they are wimps, and as a woman that has given birth 3 times (once to a 9 lb baby) I have absolutely no sympathy for them
