After reading all the posts in this thread, I see that this conversation resembles one regarding the discipline of children. As Cesar points out, those who scoff at his methods (which do not hurt the dog) are probably the ones who have the most unruly dogs (and those parents who balk at disciplining their children usually have out-of-control children). From my own research and experience, I can say that Cesar is right on target. If you see him interact with his pack, he obviously has their love and respect....and it's not because they "fear" him.
When dogs struggle against Cesar (such as when he grabbed the Bishon Frise by the scruff or held the larger dog by his collar), they hurt themselves. If I restrained my child from doing something harmful, and he struggled and hurt himself in the process, HE did it - not me. Same thing here. |
