Oh, Elaine. I wish I could speak to you personally to express my sadness. I am sorry about Newman and do know the pain in your heart. If you read this tonight, hold him close, feed him food you would never usually give him, tell him that he will not be alone when he reaches the Rainbow Bridge.
He gave such a good fight and so did you. His little body is just tired and this is such a loving gesture to help him be at peace.
Please know that I will be thinking of you throughout the rest of the evening, tomorrow morning and all of the days ahead.
You are not alone and Newman (I promise) will always with you.
