I doubt there is a precise answer anyhow. I really appreciate your input. I do recall hearing that if you can hear them tapping on the floor when they walk, that they are too long....but I still wasnt sure if there was more to it than that. Mine is still learning to take to the leash. My first visit to the vet, the sub there that day mentioned keeping them clipped to help the quick recede. So I am in new territory.
