I try to cover our cost in a sense. But some people only give $100 or $200. I guess it depends on how close you are to the person. For example, I would give $300 to a friend but when my friend Christine got married, Jim and I gave her $500 because she is a VERY close friend to us. We're godparents to her twin baby girls. My sister is getting married on Sunday and we're giving her $1,000. But it really depends on your budget and how close you are to the person. I hope this helps. Have a great time dancing at the wedding!

Which Country Club is he getting married at on LI? My sister is using the Riviera in Brooklyn for her reception. I used the Excelsior Grand on Staten Island for my reception and we got married at the Staten Island Botanical Gardens.
I LOVE the Excelsior Grand! I couldn't book it when we got married. We got married at Li Greci's Staaten. Have you ever heard of that? I lived on SI all my life until we moved to the "country" (NJ) last year.
