Ellie had eye drops for a week or two. The redness and thick discharge went away within that time but her eyes have been runny for awhile now. Her vet said it is okay. There is nothing wrong with her eyes and what we see now is probably allergies. I just read online (not sure if it is true or not) that Conjuntivitis caused by viruses are contagious (along with possibly bacterial or fungus), while Conjunctivitis caused by allergies is not. If the discharge is runny and clear, it is probably allergies. If the discharge is yellow or green, it is probably the other category. I really dunno though. I guess I wouldn't make a very good vet.
