I think $300 is good. That's what we usually give too. It's so hard when you have to give your boss a gift isn't it? When I worked in Manhattan everyone had to chip in money for the boss for his birthday or something and no one knew what to get him. They ended up getting him a bottle of wine. Jeez! I would never open such an expensive bottle!
