Sorry to hear about Rainbow, I have a 10 year old Pom that has Cushings which is the opposite of Addison's. . I looked up Addison's and it says it is uncommon and some causes are tumor, infections and toxic drugs. My pom is on a toxic drug for Cushings and if she gets too much she will go into Addison's and I have prednisone to bring her out of it. It says the treatment for Addison's is cortisone (steroids) Did the vet do a ACTH stim test that is how Addison's is diagnosed. Maya has to have one every month and theyarer 150-200 dollars. Hope this helps.
