Some start toy and food guarding when they reach about 6mos and up.
I went through that with Buddy big time. You have to take it away from
him and say no growling. And take it away. Next time sit with him while
he chews on it for awhile then release it for a minute and then put you
hand on it again. If he growls take it away. Tell him no growling. When he does not growl say good boy. This can turn into trouble if you don't stop it now when he's little. I didn't understand it much at the time but I learned big time when he got aggressive with me later on. Your pup is trying to be Alpha. You need to show him
who's the boss.
