I guess my question is can it work? Like what if this does work out how do I handle this?
i'm no expert, but i lived with a roommate who had 2 cats she took in from a teacher. they lived with us for about a month, before we realized that we all had allergies to them. the kittens loved to play with mocha and they played rough--not leaving mocha out, she is one rough player too and loves to initiate "wrestling". i watched like an eagle when they were all out together and playing in fear that they might scratch her. they weren't declawed.

whenever playing got to rough, i would just separate them. most of the time, they did their own thing and left mocha alone.

i don't know if this helps, but this was my experience.
