Eury was named for one of my favorite ancient pre-Greek myths. Eurynome was known as Goddess of All Things by the ancient Arkadians. My husband thought it would be a perfect name for our little princess.
Our 3 cats have much simplier names. Sweets was named by my mom for her personality, she's as sweet and even-tempered as can be. Baby was 3 weeks old when I got her, her mother was hit by a car, and very ill. When I rushed her to the vet, the vet needed a name for her file, as she was so little she became, Baby. Tuffy was my husband's cat from before we were married. He said he picked that name simply cause it fit his personality.
