DONT GIVE UP....crating is a big favor you are doing for your pet.

This is the third dog I crate train, and Chelsea now goes in by herself, its well worth the waiting and work.

I got her when she was 9 weeks, and she was immediately put in a crate, at night, and while we were not home. Now, she is 2.5 yrs old, and its her own private space in the house. When we have guests over, she is kept in her crate, for safety reasons, especailly, while we are eating. She lets us know, when she wants her potty break, and usually then she is allowed to visit with the guests.

During the day, if I cant find her, she is usually in her crate, she has two, one in our bedroom, and one in the office.

IF she sees me getting ready to leave the house, she goes and waits in the crate for me. I put a small bowl of food and water, if she is going to spend more than an hr in there, while I am gone.

Good luck with your training, just be patient...it DOES work.
