Miko used to do this all the time when he was younger...We couldn't go 5 min or 2 hours without him throwing up, but we HAVE to travel a lot because our families live 2 hours away. One thing that helped A LOT was directing the air vents towards his face. For the precaution part, bring a towel or a blanket to lay down on your lap or wherever he sits. We never gave him dramomine or any sedatives because with as much as we travel, he'd be drugged all the time! We took him for short trips whenever we could to get him accustomed, and then of course we took him on the long trips. For long trips, we bring his little bed and his favorite stuffed animal and put it in the backseat. We have a very small backseat, so it doesn't move at all. He mostly sits with me with air blowing in his face, but sometimes he wants to lay in the back. |
