We're headed for Sanibel 9/15/07 for a week. I'm hoping we don't get hit by one either. Last year we went the week after a tropical storm had hit and the beaches smelled!!! So much rotting seaweed and fish. Yech!! Anyway, maybe we'll have better luck this year. Oh...the only place we could find that was pet friendly on either Sanibel or Captiva was the 'Tween Waters Inn and they want $280.00/night. Needless to say, we won't be staying there. I'll miss my furbaby, but I guess it will be good bonding time for he and his Grandma! Have a wonderful vacation and we'll both hope the weather is wonderful.
