Last night, I was walking Betty and Juju (on their leashes) for their last potty time. About 5 feet from the back door, Juju starts jumping and pawing at her face. I go to pick her up and I hear this LOUD buzzing coming from her face!!
It's dark out, so I could not see very well. I pick her up (still holding Betty's leash) and try to look at her face. Well, she kept her face down and was still swatting. I put my hand there and tried to pull whatever was on her off! It was stuck on her face hairs or something...still buzzing up a storm! By this time, we were BOTH panicking. I finally grabbed a hold of it and threw it on the ground and stepped on it SO hard. Poor Juju's heart was pounding. I brought her in to see if she was bitten and swollen up or anything. But, she seemed okay...she was just licking her lips...the poor thing's mouth was probably so dry from the trauma.
Anyway, I brought the bug in to look at it. Here it is...
