When the wind's out of the west it's pretty crazy out on the lake. Sometimes we can hear it in the house and where we're at now we are 2 miles from the shore. In South Haven, where that lighthouse is, we were 1/2 mile from the lake up on a bluff with an open field between us and the shore. It was awesome, except when the winter storms came from Wisconsin and the first thing they'd run into was our front window (where Maggie's looking out in my avitar)!!!! |
