This is true and has to do with the kind of accreditation the school has. The ones accredited by the California Bar Association allows you to apply for a license for CA. Look for the ones accredited by the American Bar association. The CA ones are primarily the smaller, private schools. They are easier to get into because of the type of accreditation they have.
