Dean Koontz.....he's all i read. His new paper back the Husband has been pretty hard to put down.
But you should read "watchers" first. It's about an amazing golden retriever & trust me you will cry, I balled like a baby.
My other favorites by him are "From the corner of his eye" & "false Memory" the odd thomas & frankenstein series by him are also very good.
