 Crating my puppy
hello all- My puppy is 9 1/2 weeks and I have been crate training him. Usually he has been very good. He'll whine for a couple of minutes but then fall right to sleep. Tonight he was going crazy, he was squealing and barking. I work nights right now, so I had to leave him like that...and I feel terrible. I took him in for his shots yesterday. I use his carrier for crating him, so maybe he is associating his carrier with going to the vet. But I heard after some time they get used to their crate and they enjoy being in there...but how long does that take (usually)? He was sleeping in there today with the door open so I thought he was getting used to it. Any how if anyone could let me know if this normal and he'll be ok? thanks |
