wow..thanks everyone. i did figure out what was the problem. my gyno said it had something to do with the heat and moisture and when i sweat (anywhere..arms, legs, etc) i tend to itch. all it was was just a little inflammation, no discharge, no white bumps, no infections. now that i've got it figured out, she told me to continue with the vagisil, since it seems to be working, and to wear pantyliners (and change them often.)
phew. good thing it wasn't an infection. again, thank you so much for all your concerns, advice, and support.
