Congrats on your baby's first show! They are always fun even if they won't walk, lol. The more you work with him and keep getting him out there, the better he'll do.
I have found that with a puppy, that taking them for short walks every day (making it fun, not dragging it out, using treats and toys) has worked wonders for me. I go out every day. I don't put a gap in our routine. (unless it rains all day which seldom happens here for some reason)
I use our little country street we live on for practice now days. There are people, a few kids and commotion...it's a good atmosphere and not a crowded area. I am fortunate to live at the cul de sac and that in itself is a good place to practice with a pup.
