My opinion?? Since Ice on Ice is more of a "finishing spray", I would find a detangler to use before combing out and drying. I use the Chris systems stuff and LOVE it but Tatum's hair is a bit tangly after towel drying so I use Infusium 23 leave in conditioner (it's a liquid) before I comb her out. It works great for us! A plus is I use it also every time after washing my own hair - we share it! Maybe you don't need a detangler/leave-in conditioner though. I use the Ice on Ice after blowdrying, before the final brushing. It's great for keeping the coat tangle-free between washings and I use a little each time I brush her. Hope that helps!
