The frames do help with that, but are not foolproof. I would recommend a frame that goes all the way around as opposed to the ones where you just poke in the corners to the holder. The ones you have to put together and take apart every time you change the pads are a hassle. If you go with a frame I would recommend the hinged kind that you just lift up the top, replace the pad and replace the top frame. Much easier.
