Interesting, my silky coated never mats, her hair is always knot free and in perfect condition. My soft coated however is a nightmare to keep up with. I don't use pantene at every bath for that exact reason. But there really is not a very good choice of shampoos for them over here and its the only one that i'm not dissapointed with.
